Timber Home in Fletcher Creek, B.C.

This design pays especial attention to the incorporation of healthy materials, while keeping the construction methods close to 'conventional' construction. Drywall was substituted for natural plaster on fiber board, fiberglass for rock wool insulation and plywood sheathing for solid wood boards.
Large windows on the east and south harvest the sun's energy, while the vines growing on a trellis shade the hot sun in the summer.
A high efficiency wood boiler provides heat for the hydronic floors.
